I. Intro
You can now share a view independently to a Lark chat, Lark Docs, or with external collaborators. You can use filters to show only relevant content to safeguard the security of the data in the original table. Sharing a view this way also gives more flexibility to recipients to customize the view as they see fit without affecting the original view.
Common use cases
- Presentation and reporting: Insert a view into a document to bring attention to only relevant details.
- Syncing internal and external data: Share only applicable data with partners outside your organization to keep data safe and reduce navigational complexities. In addition, viewing permission is independent of the original table's permissions.
- Sharing image-based content: If a view contains a large number of images, sharing the view independently ensures image content is properly presented.
II. Steps
- Turn on sharing
Click Share View in the toolbar at the top of the view to share the current view.

View sharing permissions:
- If advanced permissions aren't turned on: Roles with edit or manage permissions.
- If advanced permissions are turned on: Roles with manage permission for this table and the owner of the base.
- Roles with manage permission for the base and the owner of the base can set whether to allow copying of data on the shared view.
- Set the sharing scope
You can set the sharing scope to Only invited people can view, People in the organization with the link can view or Anyone with the link can view.
The availability of Anyone with the link can view is dependent on the document's sharing permissions, security level, location, and the user's tenant. If you don't have permission to share the view externally, then you won't be able to select Anyone with the link can view.

About the shared view
- What is displayed in the shared view: Grouping and grouping conditions, sort and sorting conditions, and row height.
- What is not displayed in the shared view: Hidden data from filters or field customization, and filtering conditions.
The viewer won't be able to edit the contents of the view, but will be able to configure the view based on the visible data. This includes configuring, filtering, sorting, and grouping fields, setting row heights, and searching the fields. The actions performed in the shared view won't be synced to the original table.
