1 min read
I. Intro
Administrators and users with manage permissions for the base can preview advanced permissions configurations by viewing the base as different collaborator roles. This allows you to check whether you've configured advanced permissions to your needs and work as expected.
II. Steps
Enter preview mode
  1. Click Advanced Permissions in the upper-right corner of the base and turn on Turn on advanced permissions.
  1. Click Add Role. Edit the role name, set dashboard and table permissions as needed, and click Save.
  1. In the role you just added, click Assign Role to add users, groups, departments, or user groups as needed.
  1. Click the Arrow icon next to Save Only and select Save and Preview. You can then select a collaborator to view the base from their perspective.
Note: You can create multiple roles with different permission settings. For more details, see Use Base advanced permissions.
