I. Intro
Using the location field, you can quickly record location information. You can search for a specific location or share your real-time location using the Lark mobile app.
Common usage scenarios
- Equipment inspection and management: By adding a location field in a form, inspectors can provide the real-time location of equipment.
- Collection of healthcare information: When collecting health reports and other information, the location of hospitals can be added.
II. Steps
Create a location field
- Grid view
Method 1: Click the + icon in the upper-right corner of the grid. Set the field title, then select the field type as Location.

Method 2: On the upper toolbar, click the Customize field icon, select New Field at the bottom of the menu, and select the field type as Location.

- Form view
In form view, click New field on the left side, select Location from the list of field types, and click Confirm. The new field will appear in the form.

- Kanban, gallery, and Gantt view
Method 1: On the upper toolbar, click the Customize field icon, select New field at the bottom of the menu, and select the field type as Location.

Method 2: Click a card to expand it, select New field at the bottom of the card, and select the field type as Location.

Enter and view a location
There are two ways for you to enter location information: Select any location on the map, or get real-time positioning using the mobile app.
- Select any location on the map
- When creating a location field, select Allow entering location manually and click Confirm.
- Double-click a cell and select a location from the map, or search for a location by entering an address.

- Get real-time positioning using the mobile app
- When creating a location field, select Allow real-time mobile locating only and click Confirm.
- On the mobile app, expand the record card to find the location field and tap Access current location.

Edit, delete, or duplicate a location field
Right-click the field name and select the corresponding action to edit, delete, or duplicate the current field.
