I. Intro
Dashboard in Base has been comprehensively upgraded with improved graphics, richer data processing features, and more powerful data analysis capabilities. You can switch block backgrounds or change the dashboard theme to one that best suits your needs. Furthermore, new block types, including metrics blocks, ranking blocks, area charts, radar charts, NPS charts, and layout blocks offer new ways to visualize your data. You can also perform analyses on multiple data sources to make decisions based on multiple factors.
Note:
- Dashboards can be viewed on the mobile app (Lark version 7.32 or above), but adding or editing dashboard blocks isn't supported.
- When advanced permission is not turned on, users with edit permission can create and edit dashboards. When advanced permission is turned on, only the owners of the base and users with manage permission can create and edit dashboards.
II. Description
New themes and backgrounds
You can change the theme and background of the dashboard to one that better suits your needs. For example, you can choose the Minimalism theme to put the data front and center. Or, if you want a creative style, go for the Vibrant theme to make your dashboard more engaging. Below are the six different dashboard themes: Default, Fresh, Minimalist, Vibrant, Dark, and Futuristic.

You can also upload and use your own images as background images to make the dashboard truly your own.

You can also change the background color for individual blocks by setting a color that best matches the content in the block, making it easy to take in at a glance. For example, red can be used for urgent or important data, green for expected data, and gray for expired or unused data.

New dashboard blocks
The six new blocks make it possible to visualize data in different ways. The new blocks include: metrics block, ranking block, area chart, radar chart, NPS chart, and layout block.
Metrics block
You can use the metrics block to quickly and clearly view the core indicators and trends of your business. This could be this month's sales and year over year (YoY) trends, or client satisfaction trends for the current year.

Ranking block
The ranking block shows data such as sales, user engagement, or business performance as rankings. You can use this block to quickly see the relative position and importance of different data points.

Area chart
Area charts can be used to show changes over time or other continuous variables. Examples include the completion rate or product orders at different sites, or the changes in market share of an organization across different regions.

Radar chart
Radar charts display the distribution of data across different dimensions. You can see the relative relationship between dimensions and discover the strengths and weaknesses of what you're measuring. For example, you can visualize member performance across different dimensions, or demonstrate product competitiveness based on their features.

NPS chart
NPS charts can be used to visualize customer satisfaction and loyalty by categorizing them into three groups based on the scores they give for your products or services.

Layout block
You can use the layout block to group all relevant blocks in one big block. For example, you can add a metrics block, ranking chart, and area chart of one team into a layout block and put the same block and charts of another team in a different layout block for comparison.

Add multiple data sources to Base dashboards
When adding or configuring blocks in a dashboard, you can select multiple data sources to link, associate, and integrate different tables for more comprehensive and in-depth analysis. For example, you can combine sales data and customer data to analyze purchasing behavior and trends of different customer groups. Or, you can link inventory data with purchase data to monitor inventory levels and sale rates.
