I. Intro
Time zones often pose an obstacle when collaborating internationally. Now you can use Base time zone settings to unify all times displayed in a table, avoiding problems and misunderstandings caused by time differences and making collaboration smoother.
Common scenarios:
- International project management: Timestamps are an important link in project management. Unifying key display times can ensure a project progresses smoothly.
- Cross-border e-commerce management: Purchase times, ordering times, and other times can be unified to a single display time for easier order management.
II. Steps
Basic Info
The default time zone for a base will match the time zone of the owner who created the Base. For example, when the owner is located in the UTC+08:00 time zone, all of the times on the Base created by them will also be in the UTC+08:00 time zone.
Set the time zone
- Click the ... icon in the upper-right corner of Base to access More > Document time zone.

- Select your desired time zone in the pop-up window and click Confirm to update all time zones in your base.
Note: If you later need to modify the time zone, follow the same steps to select a new time zone.

Displaying dates and times
There are two main methods of displaying dates and times in Base.
- Display date only
If only a date was displayed originally, changing the time zone will mean that people in different time zones will all see the same date. For example, 2022/12/31 in UTC+08:00 will be shown in the base as 2022/12/31 regardless of the time zone used by viewers.

- Precise timestamps
If the original time displayed included hours and minutes, changing the time zone will mean that people in different time zones will be able to see the GMT time zone too. For example, 2022/12/31 15:30 in UTC+08:00 will be shown in the base as 2022/12/31 15:30 (GMT+8) regardless of the time zone used by viewers.
