How do I change the name of a spreadsheet and sheets within the spreadsheet?
To change the name of the spreadsheet, click the title in the upper-left corner of the spreadsheet and enter a new name. To change the name of a sheet, double-click the sheet name or right-click the sheet name, select Rename, and then enter a new name.
Note:
- The sheet title should not exceed 100 characters
- The sheet title should not contain special characters, such as / \ ? * [ ] :
How many sheets and base tables can a spreadsheet contain in total?
300 sheets and 100 tables.
How many cells can a sheet contain in total?
2 million cells.
How many characters can a cell contain in total?
50,000 characters.
How many people can simultaneously edit a sheet in total?
200 people.
How many conditional formatting rules can be applied to a sheet in total?
80.
How many filter views can a sheet have in total?
150.
How many images and attachments can a sheet contain in total?
4,000 images and attachments.
Can I edit the spreadsheet without logging in?
If permission for the spreadsheet is set to anyone with the link can edit, then you can edit the content in the spreadsheet except for attachments and images without logging in.
What should I do if I failed to copy and paste in Sheets?
You can try the following:
- Check if you have copy permission for the source spreadsheet and paste permission for the target Sheets. For more details, see Set share, copy, download, and comment permissions for documents.
- Ensure that the content you're copy-and-pasting is within 2 MB. Copy and paste in batches if content size exceeds this limit.
- Try copy-and-pasting in the browser's incognito mode.
- If you get an error when pasting content from outside the spreadsheet using the right-click menu, check if clipboard permission is configured correctly. For more details, see Set clipboard permissions for Sheets.
- If none of the methods above work, you can contact Support.
Can I insert a page break in a sheet?

What is the size limit for copy and pasting?
You can copy and paste a maximum of 2 MB of data per time.

When I paste a document link into a cell, how do I prevent the name of the document from being displayed in the cell?
After pasting the document link in the cell, press Ctrl + Z (Windows) or Command + Z (Mac).
Can I change the font?
No.
How do I search for data across multiple spreadsheets?
Not supported. You can only search for data within the spreadsheet by pressing Ctrl + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac), and selecting All sheets in the search range on the left side of the search box.
