What's the difference between Docs and Word? What features are supported?
Docs offers all the common Word features that you're familiar with as well as advanced sharing capabilities that allow your team to work together on the same document simultaneously. In Docs, you can also insert a variety of elements, from tables to polls to videos, to enrich your document and increase engagement. For more details, see Get started with Docs
Where is the save button for the document?
There is no save button because the document is automatically saved. When you're connected to the internet, the document will be saved to the cloud in real time, and any modifications will be saved instantly. When you're disconnected, you can still edit the document and your edits will be synced to the cloud when your connection is restored.
Are there any resources for composing weekly and monthly reports?
There is a wide range of templates that help you get started with daily, weekly, and monthly reports, meeting records, project management, and many more. For more details, see Use templates in Lark Docs.
How do I copy all the content under a heading?
Collapse the heading, hover over the collapsed heading, and click the ⋮⋮ icon that appears on the left. Click Copy to copy all the content under the heading. For more details, see Use headings in Docs.
How do I collapse and expand all the headings in the document at once?
It's not possible to collapse multiple headings at once. Press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac) and search for any word to expand all collapsed headings at once.
How do I insert soft returns or insert a line break within the same block?
Press Shift + Enter to insert a soft return or a line break within the same block.
Is format painter available in Docs?
No. If you need to batch format content, you can use the batch formatter add-on, which supports more than 10 common formatting options, including headings, colors, bold, italic, and alignment.
How do I move text, images, videos, and other content?
  • Move a single block: Hover over the content and drag the ⋮⋮ icon that appears on the left.
  • Move a section containing blocks: Collapse the heading of the section, hover over the collapsed heading, and drag the ⋮⋮ icon.

Is it possible to add headers or footers in a document?
No.
Can I add tabs to a document?
No.
How can I insert other Lark documents into the current document?
To insert a Lark document, copy the link of the document you wish to include and paste it into your current document. The title of the document will be automatically displayed. You can also utilize the @ feature within the document to insert other documents. To learn more, see Use the @ feature in Docs.
