III. FAQs
Why can't I share wiki pages with external users?
The following requirements need to be met for wiki pages to be shared externally.
  • You need to have permission to add collaborators. Try adding users within the organization as collaborators to check whether you have permission to add collaborators.
  • External sharing needs to be turned on for the page. Users with manage permissions for the page need to click Share > Permission settings, and select Allow the content to be shared externally.
  • A wiki space administrator needs to go to Settings > Security and select Allow under Allow pages in this wiki space to be shared externally?.
  • A Lark administrator needs to enable external sharing permissions for files from the Lark Admin Console. For details, see Admin | Configure Docs settings.
Why can't I find the external sharing setting?
  • If you've manage permissions for the page, but Anyone with the link can view or Anyone with the link can edit options are not available for link sharing, and there is no external sharing setting in Share > Permission Settings, then a wiki space administrator may have restricted the external sharing of wiki pages.
  • If you're a wiki space administrator, and you can't find external sharing settings in Settings > Security, a Lark administrator may have turned off external sharing of files and folders.
