Why did I receive a prompt telling me to turn on hardware acceleration?
A board may contain a large number of graphics and colors, and rendering them requires a lot of GPU resources. If you get a prompt to turn on hardware acceleration, it means there are insufficient resources for the board. To avoid lag, follow the steps below to turn on hardware acceleration.
- The board is opened on the Lark app: On the Lark app, click your profile photo, then click Settings > General. Select Use hardware acceleration when available and restart the app.

- The board is opened on a browser: Turn on hardware acceleration or graphic acceleration in your browser's settings. How to access browser settings vary between different browsers. For Chrome, you can enter chrome://settings/ in the address bar, click System, turn on Use graphics acceleration when available, and then restart the browser.
Note: If your browser does not support this setting, you can try upgrading your browser to the latest version.
What should I do if I can't load the board and receive a prompt telling me to enable WebGL on my browser?
How to access this setting vary between different browsers.
- In the Chrome browser, enable hardware acceleration.
- Enter chrome://flags/ in the address bar.
- Enable Override software rendering list and then restart the browser.
Note: If your browser does not support WebGL, you can try upgrading your browser to the latest version. If you still cannot load after configuring the settings above, it may be due to the following reasons:
- The computer you're using does not support WebGL. Use a different computer and try again.
- If you're using a Mac computer with an M-series chip and you opened the board in the Lark app, it may be due to insufficient local CommandQueue resources. This prevents the in-app hardware acceleration from opening, which affects loading of the board.

What is the maximum amount of content that can be added to a board?
Up to 600 text boxes with 1500 characters each, or 6000 basic shapes without text (such as rectangles and lines).
What do I do if the limit for content on the board has been reached?
You can simplify the content, delete unnecessary items, or divide the content into different parts and paste it into other boards.
Can I insert mathematical equations on a board?
No.
