Who can perform these steps: Only administrators with Wiki space permissions.
Administrators can review wiki space data, including the overall traffic to the wiki space, the amount of content added, trending pages, and data on member activity.
II. Steps
1. Access the function
  • On the homepage of the wiki space, click the trend chart icon in the lower-left corner to open the Data overview page.

2. Get a data overview
  • Specify a time period at the top of the page to see overall data on traffic to the wiki space and content additions during that period — for example, the number of visitors and the number of documents added in the past week. The data overview gives you a quick summary of the activity in the wiki space over a span of time.
  • In Trend overview, select different periods to see changes in the data by day, week, or month.

3. Check trending pages
  • From here, you can see trending pages in the wiki space that are ranked by number of views. Under More, you can view detailed data on views and engagement, such as the number of likes and the number of saves to Favorites, to quickly identify the most popular documents in the wiki space.

4. View active users of the wiki space
  • In this section, members are ranked by the number of pages they created and the number of articles they read. Under More, you can view more detailed data on members to quickly identify which wiki space members are most actively contributing.

  • To quickly find a certain document, use Select table of contents to filter all the documents in a certain table of contents. Alternatively, you can search for a page or its owner to locate a document.

Solution
To promote knowledge sharing within a team
W is an employee working at the grassroots level. W is conscious of the importance of knowledge management and encourages employees to share knowledge with each other and keep each other informed of their work. W hopes this will reduce the information gap and communication cost among employees and create a strong team rooted in a curiosity to learn.
  1. Not knowing which documents are popular among team members.
  1. Not knowing which team members will create and read documents.
  1. Invite colleagues to routinely add their work documents to the wiki space.
  1. Browse the New pages in the wiki space each week and send well-written pages to the department group for everyone to read.
  1. Commend colleagues under Contributor ranking and Reader ranking who actively write or read knowledge documents.
To track progress on wiki space construction
B is a project manager tasked with building a team wiki space. During the early phase of this task, B needs to keep regular tabs on progress, organize data, quantify results, and report this information to superiors.
Once the basic construction of the wiki space is complete, B will need to monitor the team's ongoing enrichment of the content in the wiki space and report to superiors on the value that the wiki space is bringing to the team.
  1. Unable to ascertain how the construction of the wiki space is going.
  1. Not having enough supporting data when reporting knowledge management results.
  1. During the early stages of building the wiki space, use the number of New pages and the Contributor ranking list in the data on Active users to track progress, and make the addition of new content the focus of reports.
  1. During the fine-tuning phase, use the data under Trending pages to regularly call the team's attention to trending documents and encourage team members to contribute knowledge.
  1. Each week and quarter, pull together data on the number of pages added, the number of visits to the wiki space, member activity, and year-on-year growth and report these results to superiors.
To improve the efficiency of content operations
Z is an operational staffer in the organization's Customization department. His department is primarily responsible for producing and disseminating the organization's premium content and courses to elevate employee "soft power." He would like to optimize operational efficiency and simplify the document collection process during result reporting.
  1. Not having summary data and therefore not being able to easily ascertain the reach and popularity of all courses, and instead having to manually look up each course one by one.
  1. Not having compelling data and reports when informing superiors of progress.
  1. Use Trending pages in the wiki space to compare the number of views and popularity of individual documents, reward high-quality authors, and continue to release courses that are more enjoyable for members.
  1. Regularly collate data on wiki space visits and engagement, and filter trending documents and active learners to give superiors a comprehensive overview of course participation.
IV. FAQs
Why can't I see wiki space data?
Only wiki space administrators have permission to access data overview pages for the wiki spaces they manage. If you're unable to see wiki space data, confirm 1. Whether you're a wiki space administrator, and 2. Whether you're the administrator of the wiki space you're checking.
What's the earliest data I can look up?
You can look up data going back to November 2021. When filtering for a time period on the overview pages, the longest time period you can set is 6 months. However, you can review the data for any span of time by selecting different start and end dates. If you need to view the data for a period longer than 6 months, go to the data details pages, select your time period, and export the data.
Is data updated on the same day?
There is a 1-day delay for data updates. Data generated today won't be displayed until after 4:00 PM the next day (timezone: GMT +8).
How do I look up data on a page in a specific table of contents?
Click the More button in the Trending pages module to go to the Page data details page. Click Select table of contents to specify the table of contents that you want to look up and click Confirm. The data on all the pages under that table of contents (including the page you're selecting) will then be displayed underneath.
For the wiki space that I manage, why is there a dramatic change in the data from September 2022?
To make sure that wiki space data more accurately reflects wiki space activity, we made a small adjustment to the data parameters on September 1, 2022. The data on visits to an individual page is now consistent with the Document Details within the page.

Is there a difference between the data shown on wiki space pages and the Wiki data shown in the Admin console?
The data parameters are the same. Admin console data includes overall Wiki data as well as data on the individual wiki spaces. This enables primary administrators and Wiki administrators to look up and manage data uniformly. To facilitate management by the wiki space administrator, the data on a wiki space page is only for that wiki space.
