In Sheets, you can insert various chart types like column charts, line charts, and area charts to visualize data, enabling quicker and clearer understanding and analysis of data relationships, trends, and proportions.

Why can't I insert a chart into my spreadsheet?
You won't be able to insert a chart into a spreadsheet that is inserted into a document. You can directly paste a chart from a spreadsheet into the document instead.
