Enable Basic Authentication for Microsoft 365 when migrating emails

1 min read
I. Intro
Microsoft has announced that it is disabling Basic Authentication for random tenants from October 1, 2022. Once disabled, you will not be able to use your account password to access your Microsoft 365 email account on third-party platforms. In order to complete the verification process when migrating emails, you will need to ask an administrator to enable Basic Authentication in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
II. Steps
  1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and select Help & support in the lower-right corner.
