I. Intro
Who can perform these steps: Primary administrators or administrators with "Member and Department" permission.
As an administrator, you can set English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese names for members. These names will appear when other users use Lark in those languages.
II. Steps
Set multilingual names for a single member
- Open the Lark Admin Console and click Organization > Member and Department.
- Search for the member that you want to configure, then click Details to the right of their name in the list.
- 250px|700px|reset
- On the details page, click Edit Basic Info.
- Click the Globe icon beside the Name field to enter the multilingual interface.
- 250px|700px|reset
- Add the multilingual names as needed.
- Click Save.
After you set multilingual names, when users switch the app language, the names on members' profile pages will change accordingly. For example, if you set Alice a Japanese name as "アリス", when a member is using Lark in Japanese, they will see "アリス" on Alice's profile page.
For which no name has been set for a language, the default name will display.
Bulk set names through API
As an administrator, you can also modify members' information in batches, including names in other languages, through the Open Platform API.
