Who can perform these steps: Primary administrators and administrators with customization permissions.
In Messenger, Meetings, Docs, and other places in Lark, members can use emojis. In addition to the default emojis, administrators can upload custom emojis that are unique to their organization through the Lark Admin Console. After uploading, members can use these emojis.
II. Steps
  1. Enter the Lark Admin Console and go to Customization > Feature Settings > Organization Emojis and Stickers.

  1. Click Organization Emojis, agree to the terms of service, and then click Add Emojis and Stickers.

  1. Upload your organization logo and fill in the category name. Then, click Next.
  • Note: An uploaded logo file must be 64 × 64 pixels, in PNG format, and smaller than 100 KB.

  1. Click the + icon to upload a custom emoji image and fill in the emoji name. Click + Add Emojis to continue adding more. After finishing, click Next.
  • Note:
  • Uploaded image files must be in PNG format, no larger than 100 KB, 96 pixels in height, and 96–484 pixels in width.
  • English emoji names cannot exceed 50 characters. Chinese emoji names cannot exceed 25 Chinese characters.

  1. Confirm who can use the emoji. You can select All members or Some members under Availability, and then click Confirm.
  1. Click Publish.

III. FAQs
Where can members use custom emojis in Lark?
If members are within the availability scope of custom emojis, they can use them in Messenger, Meetings, Tasks, and other locations where emojis can be used.
Why do custom emojis change in size?
Emojis show up in different sizes in different scenarios. The smallest display size is 18 px in height and the proportional px in width.
How can I know if a custom emoji will be displayed clearly when a member uses it?
After uploading the custom emoji, you can try using it on your device to check its display effect in Lark. To learn more, see Specifications for custom emojis.
