Admin | Delete the organization founder's account

Admin | Delete the organization founder's account

2 min read
I. Intro
🔖
Who can perform these steps: The organization's founder.
One can have multiple independent Lark accounts for different organizations. If the organization founder wants to leave the organization or delete their account under the organization, they need to first transfer the founder status to another member.
After the deletion, the founder will leave the organization, and their account under the organization along with the data will be deleted and can't be restored. Deleting the founder's account won't disband the organization and other members won't be impacted. For details on disbanding an organization, see Admin | Founder disbands an organization.
II. Steps
Before following the steps below, you should first confirm whether you are the organization's founder. Go to the Lark Admin Console. If you're the organization founder, your profile picture in the upper-right corner will have a Founder tag.
  1. Transfer identity as organization founder
You won't be able to delete your account until you transfer your identity as organization founder to another member. For details on how to complete that process, see Transfer identity as an organization founder.
Note: If you're the founder and the only member in the organization and you don't need the organization, you can directly disband the organization and delete your own account under the organization.
  1. Delete your account
After transferring your founder identity, you can delete your organization account in the following two ways.

  1. Choose the reason you are deleting your account. Optionally, give extra information. Finally, select Next.
  1. Complete authentication, and select Delete Account.
  1. In the pop-up confirmation window, select Confirm.
Once your account is deleted, all devices logged in to the account will be automatically logged out.

Notice: The above steps only delete the account you currently log in to. Other Lark accounts registered with the same email or phone number are not impacted..

If there are no other members in the organization, you can disband the organization to delete the account.

Yes. The administrator can restore the account in the Lark Admin Console. For more information, see Admin | Restore accidentally deleted members.
I accidentally created an organization. How do I delete it?
