Recall emails

I. Intro
You can recall an email within 24 hours of sending it, as long as the recipient has not read it and shares your email domain. When you recall an email, the recipient will receive a notification about the recall.
II. Steps
Find the target email in the Sent folder, then click the ··· icon and select Recall. Click Recall in pop-up window that appears.

After you recall an email, you can click Details to check if the recall was successful. If there were multiple recipients, you'll be able to see the recall details for each recipient. After reviewing the details, click Confirm.

Why can't I see the "Recall" button?
There are three situations where you can't see Recall, and you need to check them one by one.
  1. Check if you are using the web version of Lark. The web version does not support recalling emails. You need to use the Lark desktop app or mobile app. To download the app, see Download and install Lark.
  1. Check if you are in the process of email migration. You cannot recall emails during email migration. Please confirm with your administrator whether the email migration process is completed. To learn more, see Admin | Migrate to Lark Mail service.
  1. Check if you are using the Lark Mail service. You cannot recall emails using a third-party email service in Lark Mail. To learn more, Use a third-party business email account in Lark Mail.
What's the difference between recall and undo?
Recall: You can recall an email within 24 hours if it has been sent to the recipient's inbox but remains unread. The recipient will receive a notification about the recall. To learn more, visit Recall emails.
Undo: After sending an email, you have a window of 5-60 seconds to undo the sending. The recipient will not receive the email or any notification.
Can I recall an email that was sent to multiple recipients if some of them have already read it?
If some recipients have already read the email, you will not be able to recall it for those specific recipients. However, you can recall the email for the recipients who haven't read it yet.
