I. Intro
🔖
Version requirement: Lark version 6.0 or above.
When faced with large-scale important meetings, organizers can use rehearsal mode in Webinar to run through the day's proceedings. Hosts and panelists can start or join a meeting in advance to rehearse and test everything to ensure that the webinar runs smoothly.
II. Steps
  1. Set up rehearsal mode
If you want to rehearse before a webinar officially starts, organizers must check the Rehearsal mode box in Settings when creating the webinar, so hosts and panelists can start or join a meeting in advance to rehearse.

  1. Start a rehearsal
Once set up, organizers and hosts can click Start Rehearsal on the event card to start a rehearsal meeting. If an organizer selected Allow event panelist to start meetings during set up, then panelists will be able to start a rehearsal.
Note: Once a rehearsal has started, attendees won't receive a notification to say a rehearsal has started.

After joining a rehearsal, Webinar rehearsal in session will be displayed at the top of the Meetings window, and hosts and panelists can try out the meeting's functions.
  1. End a rehearsal
After a rehearsal is finished, the hosts can select to end the rehearsal or start the official meeting. Click Start Webinar at the top of the screen, and any event guests who have yet to join will receive a notification that the webinar has officially started.

III. FAQs
Can you record rehearsals?
Rehearsals cannot be recorded. If meetings have been set to automatically record, then recording will start once the meeting is officially started.
Once the meeting has officially started, can you still see the chat record from the rehearsal?
After a host officially starts a webinar, the chat record from the rehearsal will be completely cleared.
Why are panelists unable to join after a rehearsal meeting is started?
If panelists are unable to join a meeting after a rehearsal is started, this may be because the panelists don't have permission to join. Organizers can set three different join permissions: Anyone can join, Only users from the organization can join, or Only event guests can join. Only panelists with joining permissions can join the rehearsal, while other panelists will enter the lobby.
Can attendees join rehearsal meetings?
Attendees can not join rehearsal meetings through the event card or using the meeting ID. If there is a particular need for this, a host can call the attendee in to the meeting, and as long as the attendee has permission to join, they can join the rehearsal meeting.
