Frequently asked questions about Lark Meetings.
Is my meeting encrypted?
The entire meeting is encrypted. Moreover, Lark will not record the content of the meeting but only store some metadata, including the meeting topic, host, participants, end time, and the times when members joined and left the meeting.
When will the meeting link expire?
  • For regular non-repeated events and Webinar events:
  • 30 days after the event's ending time. The meeting link and meeting number remain valid within 30 days after the event ends, and you can still start video meetings for the event.
  • Repeated events:
  • If a repeated event has set an end date, the meeting link and meeting number will expire 30 days after the end date.
  • If a repeated event does not set an end date, the meeting link and meeting number will expire 365 days after the end of the last meeting event.
  • If no one has ever started the video meeting of a repeated event, the meeting link and meeting number will expire 365 days after the event is created.
Is the meeting ID for recurring events fixed? When will it expire?
Yes, all recurring events will have the same meeting ID and meeting link.
If the series of recurring events has a set end date, the meeting ID will expire 30 days after this end date. If the recurring event does not have a set end date, the meeting ID will generally expire 365 days after the end of the last event. If a recurring event is never actually initiated, the meeting ID will expire 365 days after the event is created.
How can I prevent participants from initiating a video meeting before the organizer joins?
After creating an event, go the the Calendar and click the event to open the event card. Click the Video meetings settings icon and deselect Allow event guests to start meetings.
If a participant attempts to join the meeting before it is started, they will be asked to wait on the meeting preview page. All waiting participants will automatically join the meeting when it begins.
How can I see my missed meeting calls?
Click Meetings in the Lark app's left-hand navigation bar. On the History list, unanswered calls will be displayed in red.
How can I check the participant limit for a meeting?
During the meeting, click Meeting Info at the top of the meeting window. You can find the time and participant limit next in Current plan.

Can I delete the meeting history in the Meetings homepage?
No. The meeting history cannot be deleted.
How big is the minutes file generated by an hour-long video meeting?
The size of the file depends on the specific content of the meeting, and is also affected by factors such as video content and shared content. Under normal circumstances, if only documents are shared in the meeting and there is no video content, the recording of a one-hour meeting would be about 100 MB to 200 MB. If there is an hour of recorded video content, the file may be around 300 MB to 400 MB.
How can I fix severe delay or latency during video meetings?
This issue could be related to your network environment. It's recommended to try different network connections. For instance, you could switch to a different Wi-Fi network, use a mobile hotspot, or connect with a network cable. Choose a network environment with the least delay for the best meeting experience.
How can I improve video meeting performance when my connection is poor or my device has low battery?
During a meeting, you can find the Performance mode options by clicking the ··· More icon > Settings. Here, you can select Power-saving mode, which will reduce video quality. You can also select Audio and shared content only.
