1. Role descriptions
2. Permission descriptions
The system implements strict permission isolation based on management scopes. This is reflected in two areas:
- a. Administrators can only view and edit data within their own management scopes.
- For example, suppose John is a group administrator whose management scope is Department A. If an attendance group contains employees from both Department A and Department B, John can only view data and schedule shifts for members of Department A.
- b. Administrator permissions are restricted based on their different management scopes.
- For example, suppose Sally is an Attendance app administrator with attendance group view permissions. Sally can't view attendance groups that don't contain any members in her management scope.
The permissions of each attendance administrator role are listed below:

Company administrators, Attendance app administrators, and attendance administrators can go to the Attendance Admin to set the owners of specific attendance groups, leave types, and overtime rules.
- Set attendance group owners or sup-owners: Go to Attendance Admin > Group Settings and add or edit a group. You can add and remove members in the attendance group owner and sub-owner fields.
- Set leave owners: Go to Attendance Admin > Leave Types and add or edit a leave type. You can add and remove members in the leave owner field.
- Set overtime owners: Go to Attendance Admin > Overtime Rules and add or edit an overtime rule. You can add and remove members in the overtime owner field.
Note: By default, the rule creator is the rule owner, but you can add other members and delete existing owners.
