I. Intro
Who can perform these steps: Primary administrators and administrators with attendance management permissions.
If an organization implements rotating off days, the administrators can set up corresponding rules in the Attendance admin console. For example, the members work and take attendance five days a week and six days a week alternately.
II. Steps
This article takes Saturday and Sunday as the rotating off days. You can set other days as needed.
Set off days
Notice: Applies to fixed shift and free shift attendance groups.
- Go to the Attendance admin console and open the attendance group settings by either creating a new attendance group or clicking an attendance group name > Edit (in the Shift section).
- Do either of the following:
- Set the other attendance day
- Select Monday to Friday for Workday.
- Click Add attendance date under Special Days Setting.

- Set the non-attendance day
- Select Monday to Saturday for Workday.
- Click Add a no-attendance-required date under Special Days Setting.

- In the prompted window, select a Saturday from Date and select Bi-weekly from the dropdown list next to it.
- Set the end date and click Save.
- Note: By default, the end date is two months after the starting date. You can modify it to any day within one year.
Set shift cycle or import a schedule
Notice: Applies to scheduled shift attendance groups.
You can set the rotating off days for the scheduled shift attendance group in the following 2 ways.
Method 1: Set shift cycle
- Go to the Attendance admin console and click Schedule at the right of the attendance group entry.
- Click the icon in the upper-right corner > Shift cycle settings, click Create new shift cycle.
- In the pop-up window, select Loop by day, then click Add to create a whole schedule of 14 days and set the corresponding shifts or rest. Click Confirm when you complete the setting.
- For example, you can assign Day 1 to Day 5 and Day 8 to Day 13 to a shift, or set Day 1 to Day 6 and Day 8 to Day 12 to a shift.

- In the Schedule view, click a start date of the member's schedule.
- In the pop-up window, click By Cycle and then the shift cycle you created in Step 2 and 3.

The schedule will be populated for the attendance group.
Method 2: Import a schedule
- Go to the Attendance admin console and click Schedule at the right of the attendance group entry.
- Click Import/Export, in the pop-up window click Current shift schedule to export the schedule data.

- In the Excel file, manually set the schedule for members and save the changes.
- Drag and drop the saved file back into the window, or click the icon.
