Set a participant as the meeting's focus

Version requirement: Lark version 5.22 or above.
In Lark Rooms, the meeting host can set one participant as the focus to make sure all other participants see their video.
II. Steps
Set someone as the focus
  1. On the room controller, tap Participants.

  1. Tap the profile picture of the participant you want to set as the focus.
  1. Tap Set as Focus Video.
  1. Tap Confirm.

After one participant is chosen as the focus, their name will carry a Focus video tag on the controller, and all other participants can only see the focus video and can't switch the layout.

Turn off the focus video
  1. On the room controller, tap Participants.
  1. Tap the profile picture of the participant with the Focus video tag.
  1. Tap Remove Focus Video.
  1. Tap Confirm.

Note: If the participant set as the focus leaves the meeting, the meeting will no longer have a focus. If they rejoin the meeting, they will not automatically be the focus again.
III. FAQs
How many participants can be set as the Focus video during a video meeting?
Only one participant can be set as the Focus video during a video meeting.
Can you use the Focus video feature and breakout rooms at the same time?
No.
If the Focus video has been set, it will be removed after the breakout rooms are opened. It cannot be set while the breakout rooms are ongoing.
