Version requirement: Lark version 7.27 or above.
You can use shortcuts in the Lark desktop app. You can also view a list of supported shortcuts and make modifications as needed.
II. Steps
View and modify shortcuts
  1. Click your profile photo in the upper-left corner of the Lark and go to Settings > Shortcuts.
  • Select a shortcut for sending messages in a chat from the drop-down list under Send messages. You can choose either Enter or ⌘ + Enter (Mac) or Ctrl + Enter (Windows).
  • Click View under Shortcut list to open the Shortcut settings window, where you can view all the other shortcuts. You can enter feature names or shortcuts in the search bar to view specific shortcuts.

  1. In the Shortcut settings window, click the shortcut you want to modify. You'll then be able to make the following changes on the right side of the window:
  • Key combination: Hover over the Key combination input box and click the x Delete icon to delete the existing shortcut. Press a new combination of keys on your keyboard to make this your new shortcut.
  • Windows: Press Ctrl/Shift/Alt + [any letter key or number key].
  • macOS: Press /Shift/Option/Control + [any letter key or number key].
  • Note: A message will be shown if the new shortcut conflicts with any other existing shortcuts in Lark.
  • Global shortcut: You can turn on Global shortcut so that the shortcut will always work, even when Lark is running in the background.
  • For example, if you enable this option for the Lark search shortcut, you can press the shortcut to quickly bring up the Lark search window, even when the Lark desktop app is minimized.
  • Response priority: When a Lark shortcut conflicts with a website shortcut or a shortcut for an app within Lark, you can select Prefer apps and websites, Prefer Lark, or Use both to specify how the shortcut works.
  • Note: When you select Use both, the shortcut will work for apps or websites the first time you press the shortcut and work for Lark if you press the shortcut a second time within three seconds.

You cannot modify the Key combination or Global shortcut setting for certain shortcuts. When you attempt to make changes to these shortcuts, you will see a corresponding message (as shown in the images below). Some shortcuts do not have a Response priority option, which means you cannot specify this setting for them.
