Availability: Lark version 5.21 or above.
You can choose to display the local time where you are, or a different time zone. If you're chatting with someone outside of typical work hours based on their set time zone, you'll see what time it is for them in the chat window. This helps you avoid potentially disturbing people when they're not working.
II. Steps
Set time zone display settings
  1. Click your profile photo in the upper-left corner and go to Settings > Privacy > Time zone display.

  1. Select one of the following three options:
  • Use the device time zone: This option is selected by default. The time displayed to others will be consistent with the real-time time zone of your current login device.
  • Select time zone: This option lets you select a time zone from the drop-down menu.
250px|700px|reset
  • Hide time zone: This option hides your time from others. However, you can still see what time it is for others if they haven't hidden theirs.

IV. FAQs
Why can't I see the other person's local time in the chat?
There are two possible reasons:
  • If the other person is within typical work hours (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM local time), Lark will not display their local time.
  • The other person has chosen to hide their time.
Do I need to set the time zone on each of my devices?
No. When you modify your time zone on one device, the new time zone will appear on all other devices that are logged into your account.
