I. Intro
If two-step verification is enabled for login but you do not receive a verification code on your login phone number or email, you can use the backup verification method that you configure. You can configure another phone number or email as your backup verification method.
You can configure different backup verification methods for each of your Lark accounts. Modifying the backup verification method for one account does not affect the backup verification method settings of other accounts.
II. Steps
Complete the steps in one or more of the following sections depending on your needs.
Set backup verification method
  1. In Lark, click your profile photo, and then click Settings > Account and Security > Go to Account Security Center. Then, click Backup verification method.

  1. Click Set Now, and then complete verification.

  1. Enter the phone number or email that you want to use as the backup verification method for the current account, and then complete verification.
💡
Important: The phone number or email used as the backup verification method cannot be the same as the login phone number or email.

Modify backup verification method
  1. In Lark, click your profile photo, and then click Settings > Account and Security > Go to Account Security Center. Then, click Backup verification method.

  1. Click Change Now, and then complete verification. Then, modify the phone number or email that is used as the backup verification method.

Notice: Two-step verification must be enabled before the backup verification method can be used during login. For more information on enabling two-step verification, see Use two-step verification.
  1. On the Lark login page, specify your phone number or email.
  1. On the Enter your password page, specify your password.
  • Note: If you see the Enter Phone Number Verification Code page instead of the Enter your password page, click Switch to Password Verification.
  1. Select the account for which the backup verification method has been configured.

  • If backup verification is the only verification method that has been configured for the account, click Switch to Back-up Email Verification or Switch to Back-up Phone Number Verification. Then, enter the verification code that you receive through your backup verification method.

  • If verification methods besides backup verification have been configured for the account, click Other verification methods, and select Back-up email verification or Back-up phone number verification. Then, enter the verification code that you receive through your backup verification method.

III. FAQs
If I have registered multiple accounts with the same phone number or email, can I configure different backup verification methods for each account?
Yes. You can configure different backup verification methods for each Lark account. Modifying the backup verification method for one account does not affect the settings of other accounts.
