III. FAQs
What should I do if I can't log in to my Lark account?
Perform the following checks or attempts.
  1. Ensure that the account information you entered is accurate (including password, verification code, and so on).
2. If the account information is accurate, but you still can't log in (or you get prompts like login timeout, too many actions, and so on), check your network environment and login device.
  • Check whether the network environment is normal. You can reconnect to the network and try again.
  • Check the version of the Lark you are using. Upgrade the Lark to the latest version and try again.
  • Try to restart the device or log in with another device.
Note: If you log in too many times in a short period, try again after an hour or longer.
What should I do if the QR code scanning fails when logging in to the Lark desktop app?
Try one or both of the following steps:
  • Make sure you are using the Lark mobile app's QR code scanning function; scanning with other software will not work.
  • Try increasing the brightness of your computer screen.
When I log in by scanning the QR code, it shows "Login via QR code isn't allowed". What should I do?
This is because the organization administrator has made specific configurations. You can use other login methods or contact the organization administrator.
What should I do if I don't receive an email or SMS verification code when logging in?
My login account is a Lark email. I need to enter a verification code when I log in to Lark, but I can't view the verification code in the email. What should I do?
You can change the login method to your personal email or phone number by submitting an account appeal. For more information, see Submit an account appeal.
What should I do if I encounter problems such as freezing, crashing, or being unable to log in after logging in to Lark on Windows?
You can try taking the following steps:
  1. After ruling out network and computer issues, see Troubleshoot installation and startup issues on Windows.
  1. Try turning off the firewall or antivirus software on your computer and try again.
  1. A window asking whether the software can be trusted may be displayed when downloading Lark. It is recommended to select the option to trust the software before using it.
  1. Finally, check if the user's system time is correct. If not, it is recommended to correct the system time.
I registered multiple accounts using one email or phone number. Can I log in to these accounts simultaneously on the same app?
Yes, you can. Regardless of whether you have registered multiple accounts using the same email or phone number or different emails or phone numbers, you can log in to all accounts simultaneously on the same app.
Do I have to use a password to login to my Lark account?
  • If you or your organization has not enabled two-step verification, enter either the verification code or the password to log in to your account.
  • If you or your organization has enabled two-step verification, you must enter both a verification code and a password. To learn more about two-step verification, see Use two-step verification.
Why can't I see the page of login with password?
If you have set a password but not two-step verification, you will directly enter Lark after entering your email or phone number and the verification code. If you want to log in with a password, click Switch to Password Verification on the verification page.
Do I have to use a verification code to log in to my Lark account?
  • If you or your organization has not enabled two-step verification, click Log in with password on the verification code page to log in to your account using password.
  • If you or your organization has enabled two-step verification, enter both verification code and the password during login. You can also switch to other verification methods instead of the verification code. To learn more about two-step verification, see Use two-step verification.
How do I cancel auto-login?
To cancel auto-login, open the Lark desktop app and deselect Stay signed in on the login page. If you are already logged in, log out first and then deselect Stay signed in when logging back in.
Note: The Stay signed in option is not available on the Lark mobile app.
How many devices can be simultaneously logged in to the same account?
Multiple devices can be logged in simultaneously, but for security reasons, it is recommended to log out of infrequently used devices. If your organization has limited the devices that you can log in on, you can only log in on certain devices. Contact your administrator if you need help.
What should I do if I get a message saying that my account does not support authorized login when I scan the QR code on the login page from a web browser?
You can try the following 2 methods:
  • Open the browser in Incognito mode, open the Lark official website, click Log in in the upper-right corner, and then log in to the account by scanning the code or entering the phone number.
  • If you do not want to use Incognito mode, clear the cache and cookies of your browser, open the Lark official website, click Log in in the upper-right corner, and then log in to the account by scanning the code or entering the phone number.
After changing my phone number, how can I use the new phone number to log in to my Lark account?
You need to change the login method to the new phone number. Follow the instructions below:
Method 1 (Only applicable when you are currently logged in to your account): Go to the Account Security Center page and change the login method. For more information, see Manage Lark login method and contact information.
Method 2: Contact your organization's administrator to change your login method.
Method 3: Submit an account appeal request to change the login method. For more information, see Submit an account appeal.
After entering my email or phone number and completing the verification on the login page, why am I automatically redirected to the organization creation page and cannot access my existing account?
This is because the phone number bound to the account is not the one that you entered. Do the following steps to resolve:
  1. Check whether the phone number you entered is correct. If it's correct, close the app completely and log in again.
  1. If you are not sure which phone number is bound to your existing account, contact your administrator to check your login information in the Lark Admin Console. If you do not know who the administrator is, ask your colleagues to open the Lark Admin Console link in the desktop app to see the administrator's information on the error page.
Why can't I find the account I want to log in to from the account list, or why am I logged into an account that I don't want to log in to?
This is because the phone number bound to the account is not the one that you entered. Do the following steps to resolve:
  1. Check whether the phone number you entered is correct. If it's correct, close the app completely and log in again.
  1. If you are not sure which phone number is bound to your existing account, contact your administrator to check your login information in the Lark Admin Console. If you do not know who the administrator is, ask your colleagues to open the Lark Admin Console link in the desktop app to see the administrator's information on the error page.
What should I do if I have multiple accounts under a company but I forget which one is the company administrator account when logging in?
You can log in to any account on the desktop app, and then open the Lark Admin Console link:
  • If you can directly enter the Admin Console, the current account is the administrator account.
  • If it shows that you don't have permission for the Admin Console, the current account is not the administrator account. You can find the administrator account information on this page.
