I. Intro
If there are problems with your Lark account, such as being banned, unable to reset the password, or unable to change the mobile phone number or email address, you can submit an account appeal. After receiving your appeal, Lark will assist in resolving the issues.
Common scenarios:
Scenario 1: The account is banned and cannot be used normally.
Scenario 2: The original email address or mobile phone number has been deactivated and you cannot log in to the account.
Scenario 3: When performing actions such as changing the login method or resetting the login password, you are unable to complete the verification because the original email address or mobile phone number has been deactivated.
II. Steps
  1. Start an appeal using one of the following two methods:
  • Method 1: Follow the page instructions during account actions.
  • If you encounter a pop-up window for abnormal login, you can also tap Appeal in the pop-up window to start an appeal.

Method 2: Submit an account appeal in the Account Security Center.
Note: This method is only applicable if you are currently logged in to Lark and the reason for the appeal is that the mobile phone number or email address cannot be changed, or the password cannot be reset.
Tap your profile photo, then select Settings > Account Security Center > Account Appeal. Select a reason for your appeal under Reason for appeal (if you cannot change your email address or mobile number, you also need to select the login method to be retrieved). Tap Start Appeal.

  1. Fill in the appeal information as directed on the page and tap Submit Appeal.

Important: Ensure that the contact information you provide is accurate and can receive messages. Otherwise, you will not receive the appeal result notification.

  1. The appeal result will typically be sent to you via text message or email within 1-2 working days (depending on the contact information you provided). In special cases, the review process may take longer.
  • After receiving the appeal result, follow the instructions provided to take the necessary next steps.
III. FAQs
What should I do if my account appeal fails?
Refer to the following content.
  1. Check whether the appeal information your provided is detailed and accurate. You can resubmit the appeal with additional details. For example: Describe in detail the problems you encountered in Appeal details, and add more ID proof in Add government issued ID or employee ID.
  • Note: If your appeal fails because your account has been banned, you also need to check whether your account complies with the User Service Terms and the Lark Usage Policy, and check whether there is any risky content in the public documents under your account.
  1. If the appeal still fails, you can contact Support for further assistance. If you cannot access Lark, you can go to the Lark official website, find the Headphone icon to contact Support.
After submitting an account appeal, can I recall and resubmit an appeal if I find that the filled information is incorrect?
Yes. After submitting an account appeal, you will receive an email notification or a text message of successful submission (depending on the contact information you provided). You can open the cancellation link on the notification to cancel the current appeal. If necessary, you can resubmit a new appeal.
I signed up for multiple Lark accounts using the same email address or mobile phone number. Can I appeal for multiple accounts at the same time?
No. Appeals can only be submitted for one account at a time. If needed, you must appeal for multiple accounts separately.
Can an administrator change my login email address or phone number while my appeal is under review?
No. The administrator can only make changes after the appeal review process is completed.
