Notice: If you are an organization member, you cannot modify your profile photo, name, or other personal information by default. To make these modifications, an administrator must first enable the relevant permissions.
You can personalize your online presence by changing your name, profile photo, or bio in Lark.
II. Steps
Change your name
  1. Click your profile photo in the upper-left corner of the Lark desktop app.
  1. In the pop-up, click the Edit icon to the right of the name to modify it. You can also add an alias if needed.
Note:
  • If you are an organization member and cannot change your name, it may be because the administrator has not granted permission for members to do so. Contact an administrator to request this permission.
  • The length of the displayed name is limited by the device you use, and any overflow will be shown as "...".

III. FAQs
What should I do if I change my name in the app but my previous name still appears in other apps?
We recommend you contact an administrator if you're part of an organization. An administrator can help you change your name in the Lark Admin Console. After an administrator does this, you can close and reopen Lark to see if the change takes effect.
What should I do if I change to an English name but others still see my Chinese name?
Whether the name can be displayed depends on the display language set in Lark. For example, if you switch the language to English when modifying the name, then other members will be able to see your updated name after switching their display language to English as well. However, if other members have their display language set to a different language, they will not be able to see the modified name.
You can also try to contact an administrator to confirm whether you have set multilingual names under different display languages.
How can I modify my contact info, such as my email address and phone number?
To modify your contact information, you'll need to have permission from a primary administrator or an administrator with organization permissions. If you have permission to do this, see . If you haven't been granted permission, contact an administrator.
Are there any restrictions on uploading profile photos?
  • Image size: No limit.
  • Image format: Supports JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO formats, among which GIF format images will automatically be converted to static images.
Avoid uploading images containing sensitive elements, otherwise it may cause the profile photo upload to fail.
What should I do if my new profile photo doesn't appear?
You can try one of the following methods:
Method 1: Restart the Lark app and see whether the profile photo is visible.
Method 2: Click your profile photo in the upper-left corner of the desktop app. Click Settings > Internal Settings > Get Configuration. After restarting the app, check to see if the profile photo is visible.

Method 3: If an administrator modifies keys it may cause your profile photo not to appear. If the above two methods do not work, we recommend you contact an administrator to see whether they have modified keys.
If the above three methods still cannot solve your problem, contact Support.
Can I view my bio history?
Yes, you can. Tap your profile photo in the upper-left corner of the Lark mobile app, then tap the Say something about yourself field to open the Bio page. Under Bio history, you can see previous text you've added to the field.
Note: You cannot view bio history through the Lark desktop app.
