Memory requirements for using Lark

Memory requirements for using Lark

3 min read
Why does Lark occupy a lot of memory?
To help improve your experience, Lark adopts a dynamic memory management system, which may sometimes cause large memory usage.
When the memory is sufficient, Lark will pre-load some features and service. When the available memory is insufficient, Lark clears its cache to minimize the possibility of a system freeze.
What should I do if I encounter problems such as lagging, inability to view messages, inability to load webpages, no response when clicking apps in the navigation bar, or inability to use new functions?
If you encounter the above problems, try the following steps:
  1. Click your profile photo in the upper-left corner of the desktop app.
  1. Go to Settings > Internal Settings.
  1. Click Get Configuration and restart the app to see if the lag is gone.

If the problem cannot be solved after restarting, try reinstalling the Lark app or contact Support.
What is the memory requirement for using the Lark desktop app?
The Lark desktop app requires at least 4 GB of memory. If your computer has less than 4 GB of memory, your computer may lag when you switch between different windows in the app. If this occurs, try the web version of Lark.
What can I do if my operating system is below Lark's requirements and the desktop app keeps freezing?
Try the web version of Lark. For more information on system requirements for Lark, see Download and install Lark.
What can I do if my hard drive is not an SDD and it takes a long time to start up Lark?
Do not restart Lark too frequently. If other apps start up quickly and you only experience this problem with Lark, contact Support.
