Add Lark to the antivirus software allowlist

Add Lark to the antivirus software allowlist

1 min read
I. Intro
When you use Lark, your antivirus software may intercept some of the function modules Lark loads to scan for viruses. This scanning process can be time-consuming and may lead to issues such as slow startups or delays during video meetings. In some cases, it may even block features, disrupting the overall user experience.
If risks are controllable, we recommend you add the Lark installation directory to your antivirus software's allowlist.
II. Steps
  1. Locate the installation directory
The default installation directory of Lark is as follows:
  • Windows: C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Lark
  • Mac: /Applications/LarkSuite.app
Note:
  • Replace [Username] in the Windows path with your actual username.
  • The above paths are the default installation directories of the Lark app downloaded from the Lark official sources. If you are using a private version of Lark or have changed the installation directory, the actual path will differ. Usually, the path in a Windows system is C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\[App name]; the path in a Mac system is /Applications/[App name].app. Confirm the actual installation path before proceeding.
  1. If multiple copies of Lark are installed, paths such as /Applications/LarkSuite 2.app may appear. Ensure that all installation directories are located and added to the allowlist.
  1. Add Lark to the allowlist
For personal antivirus software:
  1. Identify the local installation directory (as described above).
  1. Open your antivirus software and navigate to the "Settings" or "Configure Allowlist" section.
  1. Add the Lark installation directory to the allowlist.
For enterprise antivirus software:
If you are using enterprise antivirus software, administrators typically have the ability to configure allowlists for users. We recommend you contact your company's IT administrator to request adding Lark to the allowlist. This approach ensures consistency and reduces the need for individual users to manage allowlist settings on their own.
