Security and administration
Customize administrator roles
There are two types of administrators in the Lark Admin Console: Primary administrators (including organization account creators) and administrators with specific roles. If your organization has a large number of issues to manage or multiple subsidiaries, assigning permissions based on administrator roles makes it easier for administrators to perform their duties and greatly reduces the time it takes to assign permissions. Manager permissions are assigned according to roles. Specific managers can be added under roles. You can create 1 role with the Starter plan, 30 roles with the Pro plan, and up to 300 roles with the Enterprise plan. With all plans, you can add a maximum of 500 administrators.
Advanced permissions
Advanced permissions include managing the visibility of profile page fields, configuring communication/collaboration permissions, and setting search permissions.
- In the Lark Admin Console, administrators can choose which fields of a member's profile page are visible to other members in order to protect sensitive data.
- In the Lark Admin Console, administrators can set communication and collaboration permissions to allow or restrict members from performing certain actions in the Lark app.
- Administrators can configure which results are displayed when a member searches for other members in Lark. For security reasons, many large and medium-sized organizations choose to restrict which members are displayed in search results.
Advanced file management
Administrators with the appropriate permissions can manage all document files within your organization through the Lark Admin Console. Administrators can filter to locate specific files and take actions such as moving, deleting, restoring, or permanently deleting files, either individually or in batches.
