Install apps without approval
Administrators can set whether to allow members to install apps in the Lark App Directory without approval. For apps that can be installed without approval, members can directly install the free version or trial version of the app in the App Directory. For more information, see Admin | Configure installation settings for apps.

Hide blocks that members are not authorized to view
When there is a block that members are not authorized to view, administrators can choose one of following handling methods through Workplace Builder:
  • Directly hide the block
  • Display the block (A message will notify the member that they don't have permission to view the block).

Display admin-picked apps to dynamic user groups
When setting the visibility of recommended apps, administrators can now choose dynamic user groups.
Dynamic user groups are groups with members that change dynamically based on filter conditions. For example, in the user group for interns, new interns will automatically join the group, and will automatically leave the group when they become full-time employees.
Configuration path: Lark Admin Console > Workplace > Workplace Settings > Admin's Picks > Add Rule > Set Department/Members.

Dark and light modes for logos in Custom Workplace
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 7.1 or above.
Administrators can upload images for dark and light modes when configuring the logo in the top navigation bar in Workplace Editor. When members switch between dark and light modes in the Lark app, the corresponding logo will be displayed.

Members can add Base dashboard charts to Workplace
Available for: Lark version 6.5 or above
Members can add charts from Base dashboard to Workplace, so they can stay on top of key metric performance. The charts are added to the My Favorites section by default.

Recently Used module added to My Favorites block
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 6.5 or above.
The Recently Used module is now available for Custom Workplace, which shows recently used apps (including mini apps and web apps).

Lingo block added to Workplace

The Lingo block can now be added to Custom Workplace to help members find definitions of abbreviations, technical terms, and organization-specific terms.

New review process for custom apps
Review custom app releases in Lark Approval
Administrators can choose to review custom app release through Lark Approval, enhancing the efficiency and flexibility of the review process.
  • More versatile: Administrators can set multiple review steps and different reviewers in Lark Approval
  • More convenient: Reviewers can view and quickly complete review tasks in Lark Approval
  • More transparent: Developers can view the approval process and track the progress in Lark Approval

Requirements for app release
Administrators can specify when developers need to provide additional information to reviewers for releasing custom apps, ensuring reviewers have what they need to make an informed decision.

Base Dashboard block added to Workplace
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 5.26 or above.
The Base Dashboard block can be added to Custom Workplace to show key performance data at a prominent location for real-time tracking.
Adaptive display for the Carousel block
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 5.26 or above.
Administrators can choose to turn on the adaptive mode, and the size of the Carousel block will change based on the app window size while maintaining the same aspect ratio.

Vertical grouping and adaptive height for App List block
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 5.15 or above.
Apps on the block can now be grouped and arranged vertically, making it easier to browse through apps.

The height of the block also adapts to the number of apps displayed.
Note: The block height is based on the number of apps that are available to each member.

In the base, click the ··· More icon > Add to Workplace to add the base to your own Workplace, under the My Favorites section.

Six apps removed from Lark App Directory
Due to adjustments to the current interfaces, we have removed Slack Connector, Facebook Pages Connector, Microsoft Outlook Connector, Microsoft Teams Connector, Zeplin Connector, Box Connector from the Lark App Directory. You can no longer access the six connectors in the Lark App Directory.
Please note that you can still use the connectors if you have installed them before, but please note that these connectors will no longer be available.
Pagination added to Feed List block
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 5.26 or above.
When the number of articles exceeds the maximum that can be displayed in the block, the articles will be placed into different pages, and a page bar will be added to the bottom of the block.
Note: You need to turn on Paginate feed list in the Workplace editor to use this feature.

"More" button added to Feed List block
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 5.26 or above.
When adding article groups, you can add a More button to redirect members to the specified address.

New permissions for content settings of blocks
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 5.26 or above.
Applicable blocks: Carousel, Feed List, App List.
Administrators can allow members to edit the Carousel, Feed List, and App List blocks. Authorized members can open the content settings page of the block to manage them in Workplace as needed. Administrators can grant permissions on the block settings page, as shown in the figure below:
Note: Authorized members need to restart the Lark app first before they can make block configurations.

Multiple language support for Feed List
More languages are now supported on the Feed List, including Chinese, English, and Japanese.

Display icon badges on the App List block
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, Lark version 5.27 or above.
Applications in the App List block now support displaying notification badges in the upper right corner. If there are app groups, a red dot will indicate an app within the group has a notification.

App List's grouping interface optimized
Available for: Pro and Enterprise plans, mobile version 5.26 or above.
On the mobile app, arrows are added on both sides of the App List block's group bar. Click on either arrow to show different groups.
