I. Intro
In Lark, you may be added to a group chat by the group owner, group administrator, or a group member. However, you can also join a group chat if you've been given a group invitation card, group link, or group QR code.
Note:
- External contacts cannot be invited to internal groups within the organization. If they are invited to an internal group in an external organization, a new external group will be created. To learn more, see Create an external group.
- For public groups within an organization, you can search for the group name and join the group. However, if group authentication is turned on, you can only join after the group owner or a group administrator approves.
II. Steps
Directly added to the group
Group owners, group administrators, or other members with permissions to add group members and share groups can directly add you to the group chat. If this happens, you join the group without having to perform any steps.
Join the group through a group card
After receiving a group card shared by other group members, click Join on the group card to join the group chat.
