I. Intro
By reading this article, you can learn the requirements for creating and uploading custom stickers.
Note: For specific information on how administrators can use the company emoji functionality, please refer to Admin | Upload and manage custom stickers
II. Requirements for creating stickers
  • Stickers you submit must be original creations or you must own the copyright to them.
  • Stickers should be suitable for use in a work environment.
  • Stickers should be fun and vibrant.
  • Stickers are made up of two components: Image materials and text materials. Each component has format requirements.

  • Main sticker image
  • Sticker preview image
  • Sticker set cover image
  • Sticker set menu icon

  • Use GIF format for dynamic stickers and JPEG format for static stickers.
  • Each image should be 400 × 400 pixels.
  • Maximum of 800 KB per image.
  • Between 6 and 50 images in total.
  • The main images in a set of stickers must be either all dynamic or all static.
  • All the main sticker images in a set should be of the same style but also distinguishable from each other.
  • The stickers must be named in numerical order. For example, 01.gif, 02.gif, and so on.
Sticker preview image
A static preview image of the sticker, which corresponds to the main sticker image.

  • Use PNG format.
  • Each image should be 400 x 400 pixels.
  • Maximum size of 60 KB per image.
  • Each main sticker image must have a sticker preview image. In addition, the images should match.
  • Sticker preview images must be named corresponding to the main sticker images. For example, 01.png, 02.png, and so on.
Sticker set cover image
Appears when you open a sticker set in the Sticker Store.

  • Use PNG format or JPEG format.
  • 750 pixels in width × 380 pixels in height.
  • Maximum size of 500 KB.
  • 1 image.
  • We recommend choosing a colorful, vibrant image. Avoid using a transparent or white background.
  • The sticker set cover image should be related to the stickers and represent them.
  • The elements in the image must not be distorted by stretching or compressing
Preview menu icon
The icon of the download sticker set. This appears when you tap the Emoji icon to the right of the message input field in a chat.

  • Use PNG format.
  • 48 x 47 pixels.
  • Maximum size of 30 KB.
  • 1 image.
  • We recommend you choose a clear, simple, and recognizable image. For example, you could use the headshot of a sticker character as the icon.
  • The image should not have white edges. Jagged lines should be avoided.
  • Use a transparent background.
  • Ensure there isn't too much white space in the icon image.
  • Different sticker albums should use different images as their icons.
Text requirements
Text materials include the sticker set name, sticker set description, and sticker description.

Sticker set name
The name of the sticker set. This text must be provided in English and Chinese. Providing it in Japanese is optional.

  • English: Rex Dragon
  • Chinese: 瓜瓜龙
  • Japanese: ググちゃん
  • The Chinese text cannot exceed 18 Chinese characters. The English and Japanese texts both cannot exceed 36 characters.
  • Avoid spaces in the Chinese name.
  • Avoid duplicating the name of an existing sticker set.
  • If you don't fill in a Japanese title, the English title will be displayed if you use Lark with the display language set as Japanese.
Sticker set description
A short description of the stick set. This text must be provided in English and Chinese. Providing it in Japanese is optional.

  • Chinese: 我是瓜瓜龙,一只会魔法的小恐龙!
  • English: I'm Rex, a dragon who plays magic!
  • Japanese: ググちゃんです。 元気な毎日を! ググ~
  • The Chinese text cannot exceed 80 Chinese characters. The English and Japanese texts both cannot exceed 160 characters each.
  • Avoid duplicating the description of an existing sticker pack.
  • Describe the sticker pack or share a backstory for the images.
Sticker description
A keyword describing the scenario, action, or emotion conveyed by the main sticker image. This text must be provided in English and Chinese. Providing it in Japanese is optional.

  • Every main sticker image must have a corresponding sticker description.
  • The Chinese text may not exceed 5 Chinese characters; the English and Japanese texts may not exceed 10 characters each.
  • The description is a keyword describing the scenario, action, or emotion conveyed by the sticker.
  • Meaningful words help encourage users to send stickers.
  • Avoid using duplicate descriptions within the same sticker set.
