I. Intro
Platform requirement: These steps can only be performed on the Lark mobile app.
The feature of Express Attendance in the Attendance app automatically clocks you in or out when you launch the Lark mobile app around the time of clocking in or out.
II. Steps
Prerequisites:
- You must be in an attendance group of fixed or scheduled shifts.
- The administrator doesn't require a photo to record attendance.
- In the Lark mobile app, do the following to open the Attendance app:
- Tap Workplace > Attendance.
- Tap the Search icon, enter Attendance, and tap the Attendance App from the search result.
- Tap Settings and turn on the options under Express Attendance as needed:
- Express clock in: If you turn on the option, the Attendance app will automatically clock you in around your clock-in time.
- You can further decide the feature behavior upon late clock-ins with the option of Automatically clock in when you're late.
- On: When you arrive late for work, your attendance will be automatically recorded as a late arrival.
- Off: The Attendance app will only send you a reminder.
- Express clock out: If you turn on the option, the Attendance app will automatically clock you out around your clock-out time.
- You can further decide whether the clock-out time will be updated when possible with the option of Automatically update clock-out time.
- On: When you are still working after the clock-out time, every time you launch Lark, the Attendance app will automatically update the clock-out time until the end of the clock-out time for your shift.

After you turn on the above options, when you launch Lark, your attendance is automatically recorded according to your settings.
III. Requirements for using Express Attendance
Meet all the following requirements to ensure a successful express attendance record.
- You must log in to the correct Lark account and launch the Lark mobile app, including switching Lark from the background to the foreground or restarting Lark if it is closed.
- You must be in the specified attendance location range or your phone is connected to the specified attendance Wi-Fi (based on MAC address only).
- You must launch the Lark app in the valid attendance time range as mentioned below, otherwise, you need to manually clock in or out.
- Express clock-in:
- If Automatically clock in when you're late is off, the valid clock-in time is the earliest possible clock-in time until the time after which a clock-in is recorded as a late arrival.
- If Automatically clock in when you're late is on, the valid clock-in time is the earliest possible clock-in time until the time after which a clock-in is recorded as "Half-day no record". Or if the corresponding rules are set, the latest clock-in time can be the time after which a clock-in is recorded as "Very Late", with the permitted flexibility range that one can arrive in case of a flextime shift.
- For example, if work starts at 9:00, the flextime allows members to come 1 hour late, and being 30 minutes late for work is recorded as "Half-day no record", then the latest time for express clock-in is 10:30.
- Express clock-out:
- The valid time for express clock-out is from the earliest possible clock-out time until the latest possible clock-out time.
