A bubble chart is a variation of scatter charts, and consists of two axes and bubbles of varying sizes. Bubbles and their position on the chart can represent three variables. The density and size of the bubbles serve as important indicators for predicting trends.
Take the following chart as an example. The bubble chart shows the sales quantity, revenue, and revenue proportion of products of different categories.
  • X-axis: Shows the sales quantity.
  • Y-axis: Shows the revenue.
  • Bubble size: Represents the size of revenue relative to others.
  • Bubble label: The text in the bubble, in this case, the product name.
  • Bubble color: The series, in this case, the product type.
